1,207,665w. This rounds up to 1.21 megawatts jigawatts. This is not debatable.

Umm what is it a factory?

That is now how a flux capacitor is supposed to look.

That sounded like a lot until I realized you (the extremely wealthy version of you anyway) can buy cars with that much power.

That’s funny. In my designs, I’m counting microwatts, fighting for every last one. I find the flip side fascinating.

Pffft, 208 1ph?
Call me when they’re running 120 x 208 3ph 30A continuous drops excluding the HVAC.

1,207,665 watts = 1620 hp
What sort of cars are we talking about here? Insanely modified cars or extreme race cars, maybe. But production vehicles?

I was thinking of the Koenigsegg One:1 that they called a “Mega-car” because it made 1MW of power. Didn’t feel like doing the math on the extra .21 MW.

As a mechanical engineer (not the HVAC type), I always have to reorient my brain when an EE calls this stuff “low voltage”.
I’m also amused at the precision of the power numbers given here
. Two decimal places? Riiiiight.

Yeah, I’m not sure about the decimal places. I think the scheduler lisp just runs some numbers and spits them out.

Yes, this is for a temporary install, so it’s likely that on a 20a drop, the client won’t even be using close to 20a.

Temp install for a trade show.

No, temp install for a trade show. It’s only going to be up for 5 or 6 days.

It’s in a convention center. I think they have 4083ph, but then we’d be talking about dropping some pretty hefty transformers to bring it back to 208 or 120 so it’s usually easier to spec what is needed.
